Yes it will be striped and painted (not powder coated) before the avi in nov. The plastic has been tabled for now because I have so many other projects maybe I will have more time to work on those over the winter if im not to busy building my new duner.

Im not saying some places don't try stuff like that but I have never heard of a pipe voiding your warranty. As far as the cam mod effecting it I wouldn't think so but if you were worried about that if the motor goes demod it before you take it to the shop.

The hardest part is not dropping a cir-clip in your motor. I agree I don't know why anyone wouldn't do this right out of the box.

If you keep a K&N filter clean and oiled you will be fine. I run knockoff K&N's that are 8 ply the K&N's are 4 ply but if they have oil and are clean you should be fine with ANY filter. Like P.V. said no matter what filter you run you should take a buddy out with you that can teach you how to jet your carb fast and right because if nothing else you will need to do it when the seasons change.

I mean zero disrespect when I say "rookie". It is just a saying unless someone tells you or you do some testing that is something you just have to learn along the way as far as I know you have been riding/racing twice as long as me or know twice as much. Next time you decide to throw some money at your quad let me know I would have a few recs on where to go to get the most bang for you buck.

You should run 108 with 12.5:1 compression. It is a rookie mistake I am sure we all have made (I know I have for sure till I did a dyno test) but running to high of octane WILL slow you down.... That being said it is better to have to much than not enough. Switch to alky and you won't have to worry about it. From my experience I wouldn't run 113 put 110 in it and I bet you will gain some length on that 525.

CC's aren't every thing. I know more than a few 450's that will eat 700's (not all 700's) all day long. That fact is "dude" with the 525 got beat then wanted more and got beat again. IMO If someone twice your size beat you up last week and you come back to fight him again this week you can't complain when he does it again.... Not sure that even made any since but oh well.. good job

Good job you should be proud of every win. Those 700's have a lot of aftermarket parts for them now and are really putting down some good numbers. Keep it up!!! Have you done any head work?

That is correct if you retard the exhaust cam one tooth (to yzf specs.) it will run better. That is the cam mod. I asked what year because if it was a 04 or 05 I would tell you to do the oil mod to help lube the rod. Its a great quad that can be as fast as you are willing to take it. Also yfz motors are a little hotter and a little louder than other motors and while valves "slamming" isn't normal you can hear ticking coming from the motor. At least mine always did....

Do the cam mod without even thinking twice. What year? I don't know anything about the tachs but it seems like when the T.T.'s first came out I read about a few people having problems and again going from memory of something I read over a year ago that I really had no need to remember since I had no plans of running a tach but I seems like they had to wrap the wire a special way to get it to work try wrapping it exactly 5 times. Plan b is searching this site, central, and tech.

Like I said mine is still having ignition issues. It was a 1.1 60 foot time with a 80 mph at the trap because it was misfiring. It should be around 100. The triple ran a 3.41 at 99.98 mph. My ignition issue should be fixed and we will see some real times soon.
